The Paul H. Marek concert was held last night in New York. It was a
beautiful concert planned by Dan and Ann Marek to honor the memory of their
son, Paul who passed away from ARDS in August of 2007. Paula attended the
event, and was asked to speak in the beginning of the night.
The night was filled with heartfelt stories, and amazing music. The
orchastral played, while the chorus sang. Dan Marek was a member of the
chorus.
The concert ended with great applause, as the entire audiance knew they were
there to make a difference, as all proceeds are going to fund much needed
research for ARDS. The concert was recorded, and we are working on a cd that will be available in the near future.
Suggested Contribution $25

*Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is an acute, severe injury to most or all of both lungs. Patients with ARDS experience severe shortness of breath and often require mechanical ventilation (life support) because of respiratory failure. ARDS is not a specific disease; instead, it is a type of severe, acute lung dysfunction that is associated with a variety of diseases, such as pneumonia, shock, sepsis (a severe infection in the body) and trauma. |
