Make A Difference Page Two | Make A Difference Page Three
The time is now for everyone in the ARDS Foundation to do something to make a difference. We have compiled some ideas to help facilitate your effort. Many people cannot volunteer or attend events in the Chicago area, but there are many ways that individuals or small groups of people can do something.
Now is the time to do something. The choice is yours regarding how proactive to be in this battle against ARDS, be it loudly, or quietly. But if ARDS has touched you, your family
or your friends, then do something in this fight.
The ARDS Foundation will do what we can to help you. Anyone who puts together a local event and wants to promote it, please use our . After the event is over, we will post your information and photo on this special page.
Hats off to Marybeth

|

Please Join us On August 9th, The Hard Rock Cafe in Downtown Chicago will be hosting a fundraiser for the ARDS Foundation called "Hats off to Marybeth". Wristbands are being sold for $20 per person, and that will get you discounted drinks (beer), and free Appetizers!
A great band will be playing called The Hat Guys. The band will be going on at 10:00 pm. We will also be holding a raffle that night. Wristbands must be purchased ahead of time, and ALL proceeds will benefit the ARDS Foundation. |
| Working together the old fashioned way... |
Members of ARDS Foundation work together in June to stuff envelopes and get the word out about this year's Hike for Lung Health. Our great volunteers have all been affected by ARDS in one way or another and all have graciously volunteered their time.
You also can Make A Difference by Joining us for the Hike for Lung Health. Find out more here
As you can see, there are jobs for all volunteers, young and old. Make today the day you decide to do something to make a difference in the fight against acute respiratory distress syndrome. |

The Paul H. Marek Memorial Concert |

Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 7:30 P.M.
The Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew
West 86th St. and West End Ave.
New York City
The Paul H. Marek concert was held last night in New York. It was a
beautiful concert planned by Dan and Ann Marek to honor the memory of their
son, Paul who passed away from ARDS in August of 2007. Paula attended the
event, and was asked to speak in the beginning of the night.
The night was filled with heartfelt stories, and amazing music. The
orchastral played, while the chorus sang. Dan Marek was a member of the
chorus.
The concert ended with great applause, as the entire audiance knew they were
there to make a difference, as all proceeds are going to fund much needed
research for ARDS. The concert was recorded, and we are working on a cd that will be available in the near future.
Suggested Contribution $25
Please Make Checks Payable to the ARDS* Foundation
